Softball Recap: North Star Academy Wins Going Away Against Orange

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Payne Tech, North Star Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Orange Tornadoes as they made off with a 26-9 win. North Star Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

North Star Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.7 runs over those games. As for Orange, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Star Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Golda Och Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Orange, they will face off against Weequahic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tornadoes are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
