Soccer Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello managed to keep up with Cornerstone Christian until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Sages lost 4-0 to the Cyclones. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Monticello of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Monticello dropped their record down to 5-15-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Cornerstone Christian, with the win, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 6-12-1.

Coming up, Monticello will square off against Tolono Unity at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will face off against Urbana University at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
