Football Recap: Hill Falcons vs. Westmont Warriors
Hill extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were dealt a 49-21 loss at the hands of the Westmont Warriors. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.
As for Westmont, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.5 points over those games.
A big part of Westmont's victory came down to the chemistry between Xavier Solis and his top target Max Manzer. Solis rushed for 87 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries while Manzer rushed for 75 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hill will head out to square off against Mt. Pleasant at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Falcons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Westmont, they will venture away from home to face off against Live Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Acorns have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
