Baseball Recap: May Tigers vs. Gorman Panthers
It was a good run, but May unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 5-2 to the Gorman Panthers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs May has scored all season.
Benjamin Harrell and Kaden Watkins stepped up to the plate in a big way. Harrell scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Watkins went 2-for-3 with a stolen base, a double, and an RBI.
May's loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-1. As for Gorman, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.
May will be playing in front of their home fans against Cross Plains at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in May's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Cross Plains has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
