Football Recap: Solo Morrell and Colton Meade Pace Kent Denver Defense

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last seven games, Kent Denver finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They came up short against the Strasburg Indians, falling 33-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Sun Devils have suffered since September 28, 2024.

Kent Denver didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Solo Morrell and Colton Meade.

Cade Hemphill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Strasburg, rushing for 148 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also picking up 82 receiving yards. Hemphill has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ayden Dodge, who picked up 128 receiving yards and one TD.

Having lost for the first time this season, Kent Denver fell to 7-1. As for Strasburg, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
