Basketball Game Preview: Logansport Berries vs. Fremont Eagles

The Logansport Berries and the Fremont Eagles will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Logansport and three for Fremont.

Logansport's tournament run continued when they took on Lowell on Friday. Logansport took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lowell.

Despite the defeat, Logansport saw an underclassman step up: sophomore RJ Clem dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. Clem also set a new season-high mark in blocks with four. Another player making a difference was Carson Dubes, who went 5 of 12 en route to 13 points.

Even though they lost, Logansport smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matchups.

Fremont might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 76-56 to Laporte, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Logansport, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
