Magnolia kept a clean sheet against Magnolia West on Friday. They skirted past the Magnolia West Mustangs 1-0. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 118th).

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-8-1. As for Magnolia West, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4-2 record this season.

Coming up, Magnolia will host Klein at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Magnolia's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Magnolia West, they are taking a road trip to challenge Klein Cain at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Klein Cain will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Magnolia West surely won't give up without a fight.
