Preview: Berkeley Springs Indians vs. Mountain View Christian Academy Conquerors
After three games on the road, Berkeley Springs is heading back home. They will take on the Mountain View Christian Academy Conquerors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Berkeley Springs is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in their respective states (they are ranked 95th in West Virginia, while Mountain View Christian Academy is ranked 307th in Virginia).
Last Monday, Berkeley Springs ended up a good deal behind Southern Fulton and lost 50-35.
Meanwhile, Mountain View Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Fresta Valley Christian on Friday, but they still walked away with a 31-26 victory.
Mountain View Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Eryn Demko, who scored 21 points along with two steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Mengel, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Berkeley Springs' loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Berkeley Springs strolled past Mountain View Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2020 by a score of 43-24. Will Berkeley Springs repeat their success, or does Mountain View Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
