Baseball Game Preview: Ben's Ford Christian Eagles vs. Bowling Green Buccaneers

For the second straight game, Ben's Ford Christian will face off against Bowling Green. The Eagles will welcome the Buccaneers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Ben's Ford Christian's hitters haven't had much luck over their past six games, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Ben's Ford Christian's offense. They lost 12-0 to Bowling Green on Tuesday.

For Bowling Green's part, Alijah Adams looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, Adams posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nathan Pylant, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Bowling Green is 4-2 when Pylant posts two or more runs, but 8-12-1 otherwise. Joel Dupuy was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Bowling Green and bumps their season record up to 12-14-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Ben's Ford Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
