Fort Thomas had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Valley Lutheran Flames as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Apaches haven't had any issues with the Flames recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Looking ahead, Fort Thomas will challenge Pima at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valley Lutheran, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Arete Prep at 6:00 p.m. on September 8.
