Volleyball Recap: Brownell Talbot Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Brownell Talbot entered their tilt with Boys Town on Monday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Cowboys with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win back in September.

Leading Brownell Talbot to victory were Nya Ping and Becky Hoban. Ping had eight aces, while Hoban had eight digs and three aces. Those eight aces gave Ping a new career-high. Savannah Sanger also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Brownell Talbot was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 28 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Brownell Talbot's victory bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Boys Town, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-23.

Looking ahead, Brownell Talbot will square off against Ashland-Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Boys Town does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
