Softball Game Preview: Francis Parker Lancers vs. La Jolla Country Day Torreys

Francis Parker hasn't had much luck against La Jolla Country Day recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lancers will head out on the road to challenge the Torreys at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Francis Parker is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Morse. That's two games in a row now that the Lancers have lost by exactly two runs.

Amelia Antczak led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Payton Zborowski was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, La Jolla Country Day came up short against Valley Center on Friday, falling 14-2. The Torreys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
