Football Game Preview: Campolindo Cougars vs. Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles + How To Watch

Campolindo is 0-5 against Clayton Valley Charter since November of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Cougars will host the Ugly Eagles at 7:00 p.m. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Micah Parker and Jhadis Luckey.

On Friday, Campolindo lost to Acalanes on the road by a 45-28 margin. The loss was the Cougars' first of the season.

Campolindo's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zach Tabibian, who rushed for 93 yards and a pair of scores, and Everett Zellmer, who picked up 69 receiving yards and one touchdown. Zellmer showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 50 yards.

Meanwhile, Clayton Valley Charter was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Miramonte 56-14. The victory continues a trend for the Ugly Eagles in their matchups with the Matadors: they've now won five in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Campolindo fell to 6-1. As for Clayton Valley Charter, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Campolindo has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 161.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Clayton Valley Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 278.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Campolindo couldn't quite get it done against Clayton Valley Charter in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 20-12. Thankfully for the Cougars, Hayezon Jackson (who rushed for 271 yards and one TD while picking up 14.3 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
