Preview: New Richmond Lions vs. Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls
The New Richmond Lions will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. New Richmond will be strutting in after a victory while Mt. Healthy will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, New Richmond slipped by Bethel-Tate 43-42.
New Richmond got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Keith out in front who scored nine points along with six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Rylan Utter, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Mt. Healthy had to settle for a 56-53 defeat against Harrison on Friday. Mt. Healthy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
New Richmond's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5. As for Mt. Healthy, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4.
