Volleyball Recap: Wheatland Find Success

On Wednesday, the Wheatland Pirates beat the Mira Loma Matadors 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Wheatland was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 15-25, 25-20.

Peyton Yang was the offensive standout of the game as he had 31 assists and three digs. Yang is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 18 every time he's taken the court this season.

The win got Wheatland back to even at 2-2. As for Mira Loma, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Wheatland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Center on the 10th. As for Mira Loma, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Bear River on the 10th.
