Basketball Recap: Sts. Peter & Paul Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Sts. Peter & Paul had won two straight games and Garret Hemingway did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Sts. Peter & Paul Sabres walked away with a 64-51 victory over the Delmarva Christian Royals thanks in part to Hemingway, who posted 22 points. The game was his 13th in a row with at least ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Delmarva Christian lost, don't look at Darius Liles. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 16 on his way to 20 points along with five boards and three steals. Liles is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of D J Liles, who earned 13 points and eight rebounds.

The win got Sts. Peter & Paul back to even at 7-7. As for Delmarva Christian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-3 record.

Sts. Peter & Paul has already played their next match, a 77-50 victory against Salisbury on the 28th. As for Delmarva Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-32 win against Red Lion Christian Academy on the 25th.
