Basketball Recap: Hickory Comes Up Short

Hickory lost against St. Stephens back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hickory Red Tornadoes lost to the St. Stephens Indians at home by a 61-46 margin. The Red Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kennedy Blevins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Stephens, shooting 6-for-9 from deep and dropping a double-double on 45 points and ten rebounds. Blevins' evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Ady Mchenry was another key player, putting up nine points and eight boards.

Hickory's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for St. Stephens, their record now sits at 5-8.

Hickory wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-42 loss against North Iredell on the 9th. St. Stephens has also already played their next match, a 70-16 defeat against North Lincoln on the 9th.
