Baseball Recap: Goleman Takes a Loss

Goleman managed to slip by Brito the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Goleman Gators lost 18-7 to the Brito Panthers on Wednesday. The Gators' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Ryan Godinez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Fernandez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Goleman's record is now 2-8. As for Brito, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goleman will face off against Schoolhouse Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brito, they will challenge Dade Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
