Baseball Recap: Wayne Valley Takes a Loss

Wayne Valley lost to NV - Old Tappan back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Indians lost 17-7 to the Knights. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Josh Gonzalez and Colin Van Es did some serious damage despite the final result: Gonzalez got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run, while Van Es went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Fein, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Wayne Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for NV - Old Tappan, they pushed their record up to 9-2-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Wayne Valley will head out to square off against Bergenfield at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for NV - Old Tappan, they will host Passaic Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
