Basketball Game Preview: Oasis Academy Bighorns vs. Silver Stage Nighthawks

Oasis Academy and Silver Stage are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Oasis Academy Bighorns will challenge the Silver Stage Nighthawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Oasis Academy is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against West Wendover on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Oasis Academy took a blow against West Wendover, falling 78-40. The Bighorns haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Silver Stage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Pershing County 67-25.

Oasis Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Silver Stage, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Oasis Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Silver Stage in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 48-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oasis Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
