Volleyball Recap: Clear Lake Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Clear Lake faced off against Needville on Saturday. The Falcons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluejays. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clear Lake might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Needville: every set was decided by exactly three points. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Clear Lake still got an impressive performance from Natalie Herlambang, who had 12 digs and three assists. Herlambang has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Clear Lake's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Needville, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Clear Lake will challenge Barbers Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Needville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against George Ranch on the 23rd.
