Soccer Recap: Buchholz Takes a Loss

After flying high against Eastside back in December of 2024, Buchholz came back down to earth. The Buchholz Bobcats fell just short of the Florida State University High School Seminoles by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Bobcats couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Luke Xue, who's now up to six this season.

With the defeat, Buchholz broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Florida State University High School, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Buchholz take on the Leon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Buchholz is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season. As for Florida State University High School, they will challenge Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
