Basketball Recap: Easton Takes a Loss

Easton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian Lions, falling 50-14. Easton was probably out for revenge after losing 66-38 to them when the teams met back in January of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leading Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian to victory were SanTahna Ferguson and Shaylen Kast. Ferguson posted nine points and four steals, while Kast put up nine points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Kast is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebecca Wiser, who had six points and six boards.

Easton's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.

Easton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-14 defeat against Moses Lake Christian Academy on the 13th. Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian has also already played their next matchup, a 57-43 win against Entiat on the 14th.
