Baseball Game Preview: Colton Yellowjackets vs. Eisenhower Eagles

For the second straight game, Colton will face off against Eisenhower. The Yellowjackets will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Eagles at 3:45 p.m. Colton's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Eisenhower's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Colton beat Eisenhower 4-1. The Yellowjackets have beaten the Eagles the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

For Eisenhower's part, Denzel Sahagun spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up ten Ks. Sahagun has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Eisenhower saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Aguilar, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one double.

Colton's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Eisenhower, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
