Volleyball Game Preview: Andrew Thunderbolts vs. Oak Lawn Spartans

The Andrew Thunderbolts will head out on the road to take on the Oak Lawn Spartans at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.

Andrew is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Lincoln-Way West just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Warriors.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Oak Lawn hadn't done well against Lemont recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Spartans walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lemont HS.

Oak Lawn never let Lemont on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-22.

Andrew's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Oak Lawn, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Andrew came up short against Oak Lawn in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Thunderbolts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
