Soccer Game Preview: Middle Tennessee Christian vs. Friendship Christian

The Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars will square off against the Friendship Christian Commanders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Middle Tennessee Christian managed to keep up with Tullahoma until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Middle Tennessee Christian came up short against Tullahoma, falling 4-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Friendship Christian put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Smith County. That's two games straight that the Commanders have won by just one goal.

Dylan Cathey and Cayden Brown scored all three of Friendship Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Middle Tennessee Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Friendship Christian, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Middle Tennessee Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Friendship Christian when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-1.
