Pickerington North is a perfect 10-0 against Grove City since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. Pickerington North will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Pickerington North is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Central Crossing 63-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Comets are ranked 413th).

A big part of Pickerington North's win came down to the chemistry between Jarin Mock and his top target Kymani Johnson. Mock threw for 152 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes while Johnson picked up 103 receiving yards and a pair of scores. That's the most passing touchdowns Mock has posted since back in November of 2024.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Grove City and Westerville Central, and Westerville Central kept the tradition alive. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Warhawks by a score of 21-19 on Friday. The matchup marked the Greyhounds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Pickerington North will need to focus on slowing down Carson Welsh, one of several Grove City players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 276 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 76% of his passes. Welsh's passing game has become a key predictor of Grove City's success: the team is 3-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Blaike Jackson helped Welsh out on the ground, rushing for 101 yards and one touchdown.

Pickerington North's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Grove City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Pickerington North took their win against Grove City when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 28-7 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Greyhounds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
