After a string of four wins, South Haven Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost to the Lighthouse Christian Lions at home by a 66-47 margin. South Haven Christian was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Lighthouse Christian earlier this season, when they won 64-59.

Several South Haven Christian players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jared White, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. White has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Steinbrook, who posted 15 points and six rebounds.

Jalylle Batey-Roberts went supernova for Lighthouse Christian, going 10 of 19 on his way to 24 points. Another player making a difference was Allan Niles, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points.

South Haven Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5. As for Lighthouse Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

South Haven Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Lighthouse Christian also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Pleasant View Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
