Basketball Recap: Charles City Comes Up Short

Charles City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cumberland Dukes. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-43 last Wednesday.

Charles City's record is now 1-5. As for Cumberland, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charles City will venture away from home to take on Windsor at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Charles City is facing Windsor at the right time seeing as Windsor is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Cumberland, they will head out on the road to face off against Amelia County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
