Chester is a perfect 4-0 against Columbia since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cyclones will welcome the Capitals at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Chester is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 22 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Greenville on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to the Red Raiders.

Meanwhile, Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Chester, falling 22-3.

Chester has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.

Chester took their win against Columbia in their previous meeting on Monday by a conclusive 22-3 score. Will the Cyclones repeat their success, or do the Capitals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
