Marley Castaneda posted a new career-high in runs on Wednesday. He scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for Quartz Hill: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-9 otherwise.

Castaneda's strong effort led Quartz Hill over Eastside and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Royals are 9-1 against the Lions going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
