Volleyball Recap: Oconee County Takes a Loss

Oconee County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Jackson County Panthers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Oconee County was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-23.

Petra Mooney paced Oconee County's offense, picking up six kills. Mooney got some help from Fendley Kimbro and her 11 assists.

Oconee County's loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Oconee County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Brookwood on the 9th. As for Jackson County, they will square off against Dacula at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
