They never let the Jaguars get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 11 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Winter Callahan made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Sabrina Phillips and Sydney Mosser did most of the damage at the plate: Phillips went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and one RBI, while Mosser went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Phillips has posted since back in February. Audrey Ferguson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Lago Vista kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Lago Vista pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Northeast Early College, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
