Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Smyrna). They put the hurt on the Stewarts Creek Red Hawks with a sharp 5-2 win on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Smyrna with their most commanding win of the season.

Smyrna's victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1. As for Stewarts Creek, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1-1 and their overall record down to 7-2-1.

Looking ahead, Smyrna will take on Cookeville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cookeville will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Smyrna surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stewarts Creek, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Lebanon on the 17th.
