Mattanawcook put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 87-48 win over the Penquis Valley Patriots. The Lynx have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Mattanawcook's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kooper McCarthy, who went 9 of 13 en route to 21 points in addition to three steals and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Avery Jordan, who went 9 for 12 on his way to 20 points.

Mattanawcook pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.4 points per game. As for Penquis Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Mattanawcook will challenge Woodland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mattanawcook knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 games -- so hopefully Woodland likes a good challenge.
