Flag Football Recap: Hamilton Skates Past Casteel with Ease

Hamilton's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They blew past the Casteel Colts 49-0. Fans of the Huskies have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Marlie Phillips had another great game (as she tends to do), throwing for 352 yards and six TDs while completing 82.6% of her passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. That's the most passing yards she has posted since October 7th.

Hamilton didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Casteel to a completion percentage of just 40%. The team can thank Kayden Kisler for the heroic effort on defense: she. Given Phillips' standout performance, it's clear Casteel's secondary just wasn't on the same level.

Hamilton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jada Hill and Samaya Taylor-Jenkins.

Hamilton's win bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Casteel, their loss dropped their record down to 7-8.

The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Huskies 3.2, the Bears 10.9) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Casteel will challenge rival Chandler at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
