Basketball Recap: Braylon Mcgreevy Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Berkeley Springs

The matchup between Keyser and Berkeley Springs on Wednesday hardly resembled the 35-28 effort from their previous meeting. The Keyser Golden Tornado came out on top against the Berkeley Springs Indians by a score of 60-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Tornado also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Keyser's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braylon Mcgreevy led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Evan Ack, who posted 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Keyser smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Keyser's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Berkeley Springs, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Keyser will face off against Allegany at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Allegany knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Keyser likes a good challenge. As for Berkeley Springs, they will take on Frankfort at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
