Edgemont scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 76-54 to the Hay Springs Hawks. The Moguls have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Edgemont still got an impressive performance from Keaton Darrow, who posted 26 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. That's the most points Darrow has posted since back in February of 2024. Gradin Cortney was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Darrow wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Edgemont was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Talan Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hay Springs, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 14 boards. Smith is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dylan Young, who had 16 points.

Edgemont's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Hay Springs, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Edgemont has already played their next match, a 69-34 defeat against Hemingford on the 1st. As for Hay Springs, they will head out on the road to take on Hyannis on Friday.
