After a string of five wins, East Lyme's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were outmatched by the Fitch Falcons and fell 71-43. The Vikings lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 55-48 score last time.

Fitch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Si?Kis Reels, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Xavier Goode, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten assists.

East Lyme's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5. As for Fitch, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

East Lyme will welcome Norwich Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fitch, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kolbe-Cathedral at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Fitch's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
