Volleyball Recap: McMinn Central Takes a Loss

If McMinn Central was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Chattanooga Central on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers came up short against the Sequoyah Chiefs on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Chiefs: they've now lost four in a row.

While McMinn Central was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-16.

McMinn Central's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Sequoyah, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season.

McMinn Central has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against East Ridge on the 29th. Sequoyah has also already played their next contest (against Meigs County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
