Bishop Heelan Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 34-21 win over Wahlert. Bishop Heelan Catholic's victory was all the more impressive since the Golden Eagles were averaging only 12.58 points allowed on the season.

Bishop Heelan Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eli Gehling led the charge by throwing for 151 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in one score on the ground. Grant Whitcomb was Gehling's top target, picking up 44 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Bishop Heelan Catholic didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Wahlert to a completion percentage of just 40%. The Crusaders weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 63.2%.

Meanwhile, Nevada faced Solon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cubs took down the Spartans 29-10.

Nevada's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Bishop Heelan Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 10-2.

Bishop Heelan Catholic couldn't quite get it done against Nevada in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 as they fell 21-14. Can the Crusaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
