Volleyball Recap: Risco Takes a Loss

Risco lost against Holcomb back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Hornets. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Risco started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 10-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-13.

Avery Presley paced Risco's offense, picking up 15 kills. Presley got some help from Lorelai Smith and her 36 assists.

Risco's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Holcomb, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Risco didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Hayti on the 16th. As for Holcomb, they will face off against Kennett at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
