Soccer Game Preview: South Pointe vs. Lewisville

The South Pointe Stallions are taking a road trip to take on the Lewisville Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Pointe's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

South Pointe fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Dreher on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, South Pointe couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Lewisville's offense. They fell 2-0 to Buford last Friday. The loss continues a trend for Lewisville in their meetings with Buford: they've now lost seven in a row.

South Pointe has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Lewisville, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
