North Kitsap faced Archbishop Murphy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Vikings' defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 1-0 shutout. For North Kitsap, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win Archbishop Murphy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2018.

North Kitsap has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Archbishop Murphy, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4-2.
