Soccer Recap: Crete Takes a Loss

Crete fought the good fight in their overtime game against Schuyler on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. Crete were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Schuyler apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Pascual Ramos Lopez and Kevin Alejo Aguilera scored both of Crete's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Crete's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Schuyler, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Crete will square off against rival Aurora at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Schuyler is set to face off against their familiar foe Seward at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
