It's playoff time, and Manteno had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Hoopeston Cornjerkers get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Tuesday. Manteno might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by three goals or more this season.

They hit Hoopeston with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ben Froeschle (3), Justin Foster (2), Eric Eldridge (2), and Matthew Ritzke.

The victory (which was Manteno's fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those five matches. As for Hoopeston, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.

Manteno wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Reed-Custer on the 25th. Hoopeston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
