Central Rivers (8 Man) recap Oct. 30, 2012

Hardin-Central extended the longest winning streak in Central Rivers (8 Man) this week by beating Lincoln, 72-28. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Bulldogs.

Norborne took down Chilhowee 72-18 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Chilhowee's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Colter Armstrong has thrown for 1104 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Josiah Carr has 24 catches for 392 yards. Armstrong also leads the league in rushing with 531 yards.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Hardin-Central and Northwest. Kirk Thacker's team enters the contest ranked ninth in the state, while the Mustangs ranks eighth.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Bulldogs take on Northwest. Hardin-Central has allowed 300 points this season, while Caleb Crooker's team has given up 242.

The Pirates led Central Rivers (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 72 points on the Indians.
