            Softball Preview: Pacheco Panthers vs. Beyer Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            The Pacheco Panthers will take on the Beyer Patriots at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The  squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Pacheco has struggled recently with nine defeats in a row, while Beyer will arrive with five straight  victories.
Pacheco lost  13-6 to Grace Davis on Friday.
  Isabella Chavez and  Yasmin Regalado stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Chavez  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4, while  Regalado  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more,  Chavez posted two  RBI, the most she's  had since back in February.  Emma Landeros was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Beyer got themselves on the board against Grace Davis last Friday, but Grace Davis never followed suit. They blew past the Spartans 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won five contests by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
The team  relied heavily on  Lily Robinson, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  AnnMarie Scott, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 Beyer  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They are  a perfect 6-0 when  they post two or more  strikeouts.
 Pacheco's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Beyer, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
 Pacheco couldn't quite get it done against Beyer when the teams last played  back in May of 2024 as they fell  7-2. Can Pacheco avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
