Softball Recap: Mariemont Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Mariemont's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Taylor Yellowjackets on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in April.

Mariemont's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Taylor, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Mariemont and Taylor could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Warriors will challenge Williamsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (655 vs. 222). Meanwhile, Taylor (ranked 306th) will meet East Jessamine (ranked 74th) at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.
