Mt. Pleasant won the last time they faced Marshall and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went the Mt. Pleasant Tigers' way against the Marshall Mavericks as the Mt. Pleasant Tigers made off with a 6-0 win. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Mavericks are ranked 622nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mt. Pleasant is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five games. Marshall's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Coincidentally, Mt. Pleasant and Marshall will both be playing Jacksonville the next time they take the pitch. Mt. Pleasant will head out to face Jacksonville at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Marshall will host them at 7:00 p.m. on March 11th.
